Whether you’re our patient or a member of the community, this event is perfect for families with children ages 18 months – 12. Get ready for hands-on dental games, interactive activities, and meet-and-greets with your favourite dental characters, all while learning about good oral health habits!

We know that a trip to the dentist can sometimes be intimidating, but with our fun-filled events, kids can experience dental care in a whole new way! Our Summer Camps at the Dentist feature exciting activities that make learning about oral health fun and easy. Kids can’t wait to get involved, and parents love how relaxed and educational the experience is.

At Smiles on Essa Dental, we’re passionate about educating children on the importance of oral health in a fun, welcoming environment. Sugar Bugz Be Gone (SBBG) is our signature initiative, which was developed by dental professionals who happen to be parents with a passion for teeth. A program created to excite kids and teach them all about dental care in a fun and interactive way. For our Tooth Heroes, it’s more than just a program; it’s an initiative that fosters lifelong healthy habits.

Q: Do we have to be a patient to attend?
A: Not at all! Everyone is welcome to join the fun, whether you’re a patient or member of the community. We believe in making dental education accessible for everyone.
Q: Will any dental work be done during the event?
A: No dental treatments will be performed during the event—this is purely a fun, educational experience! We send your child home with a Smile Keeper Chart and in 10-days we invite you back to go through our Tooth Hero graduation!
Q: Can we bring siblings?
A: Yes! The event is open to siblings of all ages, so feel free to bring the whole family.
Q: Are parents required to stay?
A: We do require parents to stay on-site for the safety of the children and staff. We have a large reception area and free WiFi available during this time.
