When should my child have their first visit?
- It depends on your child! An early introduction helps establish confidence and trust in their dental journey. We recommend bringing your child in for a FREE dental introduction with our Sugar Bugz Be Gone Program. The typical dentist visit for an examination is around three years old or when all their teeth have erupted. A Registered Dental Hygienist introduces your child to the dental environment to prepare for their first visit with the dentist. The introduction can be given at any age; we believe in early education, so the earlier, the better!
What dental insurance do you take?
- We accept most insurance coverages. Unfortunately, we do not accept government-funded insurance at this time. This includes Healthy Smiles, ODSP, Ontario Works, and more. Please contact our office for details.
What can I expect for my dental visit?
- You’ll have approximately one hour with the dentist on your first visit. During this time, you’ll get a complete exam. You’ll discuss medical history and goals. Then, you’ll take x-rays and discuss future treatments if need be. Your cleaning appointment follows your exam. Plan to spend approximately 2 hours here. Don’t worry; we have free patient WiFi and entertainment consoles to pass the time!
Can I transfer my X-rays from my previous office?
- Absolutely! Before your appointment, let our office know that you would like to transfer your X-rays. We will send you a release form, and we will get in contact with your previous office. Please note that it can take two weeks to receive the X-rays. If you’re unaware of when you last had X-rays, don’t worry – we can still send the release form. Please note you may be required to re-take X-rays. Each dentist varies with timelines for X-ray usage. Typically, X-rays taken within a year can be transferred without retaking.
Do you offer emergency dental care?
- We try to accommodate same-day emergencies. Please note that we do have our regular scheduled appointments. When calling about your emergency, please describe your situation as best you can. This will help our dentist and receptionists prepare for your appointment.
How do I book a Teeth Whitening?
- To book a teeth whitening appointment, you first need to become a patient and have a complete oral exam with the dentist. You need to be cavity-free before any teeth whitening can happen. We recommend you have a cleaning appointment first as well.
Do you offer Custom Mouthgaurds
- We do! Any patient in our office is eligible to have a custom mouthguard. To ensure a proper fit, you must complete all dental work. This includes orthodontic treatment, fillings and tooth removal.
